Sample Answer
Jaya’s PICOT question is relevant and exciting to changing smoking practice globally. The 5A’s and 5 R’s make complete sense for the assessment. The presentation was simple to follow, and understand the material delivered. Jaya provided many sources to support recommendations, including an online website. There was no reference list to follow, but the presenter focused on the interventions to improve smoking cessation, including plans and long-term health benefits. The presentation had a good resource base adding to nursing knowledge. In my opinion, applications to future practice presentations can be applied differently.
It can be by having the patient see their primary physician, and the most used nowadays include online resources. In addition, I found a great resource to help approach this specific population. Real-time video communication such as Skype and FaceTime transmit live video and audio over the Internet. These Real-time videos delivered to this population help improve knowledge and encourage smokers not to quit smoking cessation (Tzelepis et al., 2019). Jaya, if the patient does not come to you for an office visit or consultation, how do you plan to approach this population or community? Good job on the presentation!
