At the core of this proposed EBP project is the reduction and prevention of hospital-acquired infections among geriatric patients in healthcare facilities, especially in acute and critical care units. The expected outcomes of this proposed project are a reduction and prevention of hospital-acquired infections among patients by about 40% within three months.
The proposed project will augment patient care outcomes through better experiences and reduced hospital acquired infections in the targeted population.
