Through the analysis one ascertains the methodology and statistics used by the researchers. Population of Interest for the Study The population of interest in this study entailed students from different countries pursuing different courses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study also focused on the general population as a population of interest. The population of interest in this study was healthcare providers who include nurses and others. The study aimed at increasing the use of an inter-professional approach in prevention of pressure ulcers among patients.
Sample The sample comprised of 354 students and 3120 non-student participants drawn from the United States, Norway, the UK, and Australia. The study asserts that 119 subjects returned the PUKAT questionnaire while another 151 individuals answered the APUP questionnaire. Another 144 participants answered demographic questions. In total, the sample size for the study was 414.
Sampling Method The sampling method entailed simple randomization using social media platforms. The researchers used these platforms to recruit participants in the study. Selective sampling method was used since the researchers recruited only healthcare workers across community health settings in the UK.
How Were Data Collected? The researchers collected data for the study using online surveys that they had distributed during the investigation. The researchers in the study used two questionnaires to collect data; online and in paper forms to explore knowledge and attitudes by nurses to prevention of pressure ulcers.
